Our municipal heritage includes agricultural, cattle farming, fishing and artisan work, among other things. Our local economy, like those in the majority of Honduras, has a high unemployment rate and a low rate of pay. This is due partially to political inability at a state level to generate income used by other mediums like agricultural production, agro industry, family business or individuals.
